1. What is Alarm.com?
Casa Linda Security uses Alarm.com services. Alarm.com is a patented wireless communication and web technology that makes traditional security systems MORE SECURE, MORE RELIABLE, MORE USEFUL and MORE INFORMATIVE. Alarm.com's technology is fully compatible with GE Security control panels. By combining an Alarm.com Wireless Module with a GE home or business security system, you get the most modern and cost-effective security and monitoring solution available today.

Casa Linda Security Customers can monitor and control their security systems from anywhere through the Casa Linda Security website. Real-time text-message and e-mail alerts mean that you always stay informed about what's happening when you're away from your home or business.

Because all signals (alarms and other activity information) are transmitted WIRELESSLY from your GE Security control panel through the Alarm.com Wireless Module, you don't have to worry about intruders disabling your security system by cutting the phone line. Even better, if you're one of the millions of customers who have dropped their landline and switched to cell-phone-only or Voice-over-IP, your Casa Linda Security system will still work reliably!

Alarm.com has over 300 licensed Security Dealers in North America and processes over 4 million security and safety events each month.

2. What's the difference between Casa Linda Security systems and traditional security systems?
We've found that customers who use Casa Linda Security really love it, and they love to tell their friends about it. That's because Casa Linda Security is different from traditional security systems in a few key ways.

1) Casa Linda Security makes your security system independent of your phone line. That means your security system will work whether you have Voice-over-IP, a traditional landline, or no phone line at all. Casa Linda Security systems send all alarms and other signals through a dedicated wireless connection. You don't even need a wireless network in your home. As soon as your Casa Linda Security system is powered up, it starts communicating with all of the local wireless towers in your area, similar to how your cell phone works.

2) Since Casa Linda Security sends signals wirelessly, your system is more secure than other systems that use the phone line to report alarms. Even if an intruder cuts your phone line and power, your Casa Linda Security system will still be able to report alarms. Most people who have traditional security don't realize how vulnerable the system is to line cuts.

3. How much is Casa Linda Security equipment and services?
An Casa Linda Security system can range in price from as low as $650 for a wireless panel, 1 motion sensor; three door/window contacts. From there, the price can go up depending on the equipment package and the installation option chosen by the customer. Even though Casa Linda Security's solution is much more reliable and useful than traditional security, it is priced about the same as a traditional security system.

The monthly service fee for a security system with Casa Linda Security's wireless, web and notification technology will range from $27.50 for a basic residential service plan, up to $49.95 or more for a comprehensive residential or commercial/business service plan. Since traditional security monitoring services average about
$33/month in the U.S., Casa Linda Security is competitively priced and offers a whole lot more bang for the buck.

4. I'm going on vacation. How does Casa Linda Security help me?
Casa Linda Security is perfect for keeping track of your home when you go on vacation. If you're going away. You can create a temporary alarm code so a neighbor can get in to feed your cat and water your plants while you're gone. If you want, Casa Linda Security can send you a text-message or e-mail you when someone enters your home ("Your system was disarmed by The Neighbors at 4:05 PM") and when certain areas of your home are accessed ("The Cat Food Cabinet was opened at 4:07 PM."). If you don't want to be disturbed on vacation, you can just check the event log on the Casa Linda Security website when you get back and see everything that happened while you were gone.

Casa Linda Security remote web-based monitoring capability also makes it a great solution for people who own second homes that they want to keep track of when they aren't around.

5. Is a security system with Casa Linda Security services more reliable?
Yes, a Casa Linda Security system is much more reliable than a traditional security system. Traditional systems use the phone line to report alarm signals to a central monitoring station. Many intruders have figured out how to cut the phone line outside the house in order to disable an alarm system.

Casa Linda Security systems have a dedicated wireless connection to Alarm.com's Network Operations Center. Alarms and other signals are transmitted wirelessly in real time from the customer's security control panel through this connection. Even if the customer's phone line is cut, all alarm signals will be able to reach Alarm.com's Network Operations Center and can be routed immediately to the Casa Linda Security central monitoring station for emergency response.
Plus, with Casa Linda Security your security system will work even if you don't have a phone line. Casa Linda Security is the ideal solution for customers who user Voice-over-IP or use their cell phones exclusively.
